I really respect your UNwillingness to remain estranged from your brother. It takes two people to keep a relationship broken. One person can really make quite a difference! You’re a big hearted person.

Exactly, it does take two! Estrangement breaks my heart. I just have to try to fix it.

❤️ Relationships can be difficult. Family relationships can sometimes become like an unsolvable branch of physics. But true gravity pulls us in .... because we love each other. RIP Ken.

I am sorry for your loss Scott. It's coming up on all of us old men.

May you live to yell (on stage) for many years to come!

Thanks old friend!

Family can be hard. But it's still family. May your brother rest in peace, and may you remember the times of joy with him more than the difficult times.

Beautiful, Scott. You’re a great brother to your brother. And you’re a great writer. A good singer too. And boy can you yell on stage. One would think you really meant it. So you’re a good actor too. Sending love to you, my friend.

Hi Scott - beautifully done and very touching. I lost my 6 year old brother who I also had a fraught relationship with 3 years ago. So much of this is so very similar to my relationship with him, in life and death. I also wrote my brother’s obituary and gave the eulogy at his funeral. I am sorry for your loss and hope his memory will always be a blessing for you.

Thank you, David.

Clearly I intended to write 6 year OLDER brother. I always read your posts Scott. Enjoy reading about your life experiences and observations, both professional and personal. I’m glad you feel compelled to share.

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoy them.

A lovely eulogy. And, what do you think of Frontier Airlines?

Frontier is not bad - just quirky and cheap. At their Denver hub they fly out of a dungeon that doesn't have jet bridges, so you get the full Colorado weather experience, snow, sun, rain, hail, what have you They charge for everything. E.g. a Coke is $5. Lesson: bring your own. They charge for carryons. Lesson: get their credit card. It's free for a year, then $99 a year but you get a $100 travel voucher. Then you get free bags, free extra legroom seat, and a ton of free miles. (You have to charge $2000 one time. So just buy things you were going to buy anyway) I've flown several trips now on miles alone.

And thanks for your comment.
