Hello
I love to tell stories.
I love to tell true stories about things I’ve seen or that happened to me. Amazing, fun, odd, surprising, or momentous things. Funny is almost always a good reason for a story. Some are ordinary and weird. Little things the universe presents. Everyday and once-in-a-lifetime. Entertaining stories about all sorts of things. About anything. If you know me, you already knew that I do this.
I worked in Silicon Valley for many years with brilliant people at remarkable companies that changed the world. A lot of my stories are about those people and places. But some of them are about something unexpected I saw on a walk around my neighborhood. Or that happened at the grocery store. Or when I was a kid. Stuff like that.
I tell stories face to face, over a meal, in social media posts, and on stage. Recently I wrote down a bunch of stories as a sort of memoir in this Google Doc, which is not the best format ever for this kind of thing. My old friend and former boss Guy Kawasaki suggested I put them out here on Substack, where you can read them in individually packaged bites. I always listen to Guy’s advice. So here you go!
